Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS
• Assess and monitor patient status before, during and after procedures, including sedation monitoring and recovery care
• Collaborate with physicians, GI techs and the care team to ensure smooth, efficient procedural flow
• Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation and ensure compliance with unit policies
• Prepare and manage endoscopy equipment and supplies, maintaining sterile technique and safety standards
• Educate patients and families about procedure expectations, aftercare and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives and unit teamwork to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid in Colorado or compact license)
• Minimum GI/endoscopy experience strongly preferred (experience with EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS a plus)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred
• Comfortable in a procedural, non-bedside endoscopy lab environment
• Able to work under stress, flexible with scheduling and a strong team player
• Good clinical judgment, strong communication and EMR proficiency

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience with endoscopy procedures and peri-procedural nursing
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and procedural workflows
• Sedation monitoring and post-procedure recovery skills
• Infection control, sterile technique and equipment handling
• Strong teamwork, communication and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced lab
