Location: Lufkin, Texas

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts (DAYs, Nights, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM), every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with diverse conditions including trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac events
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage patient triage, assessments, and interventions in a fast-paced environment
Maintain accurate documentation using Paragon EMR
Interpret ECG rhythms and respond to critical changes
Float to other units as qualified when needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (or ENTC in lieu of PALS)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac emergency management
Proficient in ECG rhythm interpretation
Experience with Paragon EMR preferred
Knowledge of triage protocols and patient prioritization
Ability to handle high patient volumes (80-90 per day)
