Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ED, prioritizing safety and clinical excellence
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of patients with diverse acuity levels
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage emergency interventions with precision
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated patient care
• Document accurately and promptly in the patient record to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and safe discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to codes and emergency situations, maintaining calm and leadership

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to obtain NH licensure if required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience in Emergency Department or high-acuity nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing principles and triage
• Proficiency with IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and basic procedures
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients and prioritize care
• Solid clinical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills
• Calm, decisive decision-making under pressure and strong teamwork
