Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan, from neonates to geriatrics
• Perform rapid triage and clinical assessment to prioritize patient needs and initiate timely interventions
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ICP monitoring and neurological assessments
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate acute care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity and compliance
• Maintain patient safety and ratio-driven care in a fast-paced 1:4 patient environment
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Active RN license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLA, NIH, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications/skills: BLS, NIHSS, ICP monitoring experience, neurological assessment
• First-time travel nurses are welcome
• Must include any RTO restrictions at time of submission
• Locals not accepted for this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage skills and emergency nursing judgment
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Proficient in neurological assessment and ICP monitoring
• Comfortable managing a 1:4 patient ratio in a busy acute care ED
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with interdisciplinary support (RT, PT, pharmacy, radiology, social services)
