Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED environment
• Assess, triage and monitor patients, making critical decisions and communicating clearly with the care team
• Administer medications, IVs and other treatments safely and according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate timely patient care and dispositions
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes thoroughly and accurately
• Support patient and family education during stressful moments with professionalism and empathy
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and clinical education

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (active) — ability to work in Hawaii preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred or required by employer
• Comfort and experience working in Emergency Department or high-acuity settings
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and triage skills
• Professional communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage
• IV therapy, medication administration and acute interventions
• Familiarity with ED workflows and rapid patient turnover
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and make timely decisions
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and staff
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced clinical environment
