Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, including weekends as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate emergency care to patients with a wide range of conditions
Perform thorough patient assessments, triage, and prioritization of care
Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care as needed
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKGs to detect changes in patient status
Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
Maintain a calm, efficient environment in a fast-paced emergency department

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
Comfortable with Cerner EMR and telemetry monitoring
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and clinical simulation lab

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing and trauma care
Patient assessment and critical thinking
IV therapy, port-a-cath, and Foley catheter insertion
EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Wound care and sterile technique
