Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in the emergency department to prioritize care promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient status and intervene quickly for changes in condition
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses clearly and professionally
• Provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients and families during high-stress moments
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ED workflows and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or ability to obtain state licensure (compact license considerations welcomed)
• Valid BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in fast-paced settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of emergency nursing assessment and triage principles
• Skill with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Familiarity with ED documentation systems and basic computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple critical patients and prioritize tasks effectively
• Calm, decisive approach during high-acuity situations
