Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Perform rapid triage and focused assessments to prioritize patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Document care accurately and clearly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergency and trauma situations

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification — current NH RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Emergency nursing experience or demonstrated competence in triage and critical care skills
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a team
• Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements (background check, health screenings)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and triage skills in emergency settings
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and EKG interpretation
• Comfort managing acute, time-sensitive conditions and trauma presentations
• Effective communication and de-escalation skills with patients and families
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-acuity environment
