Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, wound care and monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Document assessments, treatments and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and escalate care when needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in New Hampshire (or compact RN authorization)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience caring for patients in an Emergency Department is highly valued
• Comfort with high-acuity, fast-paced environments and strong critical thinking
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency patient assessment
• Advanced cardiac life support principles
• IV therapy, medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Rapid prioritization, multi-tasking and crisis resource management
• Compassionate patient and family communication under stress
