Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize urgent care
Provide direct emergency nursing care, including medication administration and advanced interventions
Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Document patient care and handoffs clearly and thoroughly in the chart/EHR
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
Participate in department quality improvement initiatives and safety practices

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to obtain Hawaii licensure as required
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Experience in Emergency Department (ED/ER) settings preferred
Strong critical thinking, triage, and emergency assessment skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency assessment and triage best practices
IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with ED workflows and high-acuity patient care
Proficient clinical documentation and handoff communication
Calm decision-making under pressure and strong multitasking ability
