Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a high-acuity emergency setting
Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate timely care
Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols and best practices
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly
Support family members with clear communication and compassionate updates
Participate in department quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Emergency department experience preferred (new grads with strong ED training considered)
Current CPR certification
Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts in a fast-paced environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for emergency scenarios
Proficiency with ED equipment and familiarity with triage processes
Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and team members
Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to mentor newer staff
