Roles & Responsibilities

Provide timely, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department
Assess patients quickly and accurately, prioritizing based on acuity
Administer medications and treatments safely according to protocols
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to develop and execute care plans
Document patient status and interventions clearly and thoroughly
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Act decisively in emergency situations to stabilize and transfer patients as needed

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Hawaii RN license preferred or ability to obtain
Experience in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing is strongly preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in emergency nursing assessment and triage
Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Ability to prioritize multiple high-acuity patients
Calm, decisive, and adaptable under pressure
