Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality dialysis care to adult and/or pediatric patients based on unit needs
• Operate and monitor dialysis equipment, adjusting treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Assess patient status before, during, and after treatments and document changes in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, vascular access care, and self-management strategies
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies to maintain a safe treatment environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact RN license where applicable
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, dialysis experience preferred or demonstrated competency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and other certifications a plus
• Comfortable working independently as a travel nurse and adapting to new workflows quickly
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dialysis principles, modalities, and vascular access management
• Skill in monitoring hemodynamic status and recognizing treatment-related complications
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time management abilities
• Patient education and teaching skills with empathy and clarity
