Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document care, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, plans of care, and discharge instructions
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain one
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred where applicable
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and integrate quickly into existing teams
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (BSN preferred when available)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical prioritization skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and ability to handle a fast-paced evening shift
