Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and radiographic imaging studies with attention to safety and diagnostic standards
• Operate dual-modality equipment (Radiography and CT) and ensure proper patient positioning and imaging protocols
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for both outpatient and inpatient populations
• Adhere to infection control and immunization requirements prior to start
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to support accurate, timely diagnoses
• Maintain and document equipment checks, quality control, and accurate exam records
• Provide backup coverage when colleagues are on vacation, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

• Maine radiologic technologist license, or eligibility for Maine licensure prior to start
• Experience performing CT and general radiography in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Ability to work variable weekday shifts (Monday–Friday) and cover vacations as needed
• Compliance with all employer immunization requirements prior to assignment
• Dual-modality capability (Radiography and CT) is required; mammography experience is a strong plus
• Comfort working in a small, critical access hospital environment and adapting to varied case types

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging techniques and safety practices
• Radiography fundamentals and patient positioning
• Dual-modality operation (Radiography + CT) and cross-coverage skills
• Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient imaging workflows
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
• Basic equipment QC and documentation practices
