Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric assessments and developmental milestone evaluations for infants and children
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care and home exercise programs that make measurable progress
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions including AROM/AAROM/PROM and adaptive equipment training
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in Epic
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate teaching to support home carryover
• Reassess and adjust treatment plans regularly to ensure effective, goal-driven care
• Collaborate with the outpatient team and float into acute care when needed to support continuity of care
• Maintain productivity standards while prioritizing safety and quality care for pediatric patients

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapy license required (as stated by facility)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred; first-timers accepted with strong pediatric/infant skills
• Demonstrated experience with pediatrics and infant populations is a hard requirement
• Comfortable working in outpatient pediatric settings and able to float to acute care when needed
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Familiarity with PDMS-2 and pediatric outcome measures is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in pediatric assessment, evaluation, and plan of care development
• Skilled in AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment fitting
• Experience addressing developmental delays, cerebral palsy, torticollis, and scoliosis
• Strong documentation practices and discharge planning
• Ability to create effective home exercise programs and provide family-centered education
• Comfortable in both outpatient clinic and acute care environments
• Familiar with productivity expectations (approx. 7-8 patients per hour day) and efficient scheduling
