Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-06-2026

End Date: 09-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized rehabilitation plans for general medical, post-surgical, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document patient progress and adjust treatment approaches based on clinical outcomes
Provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA cases

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapy license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Ability to work independently across multiple hospital units

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
Experience with general medical, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to work in fast-paced acute care settings
