Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, at least every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, specialized care to adults 55+ in a 26-bed behavioral health unit
Build meaningful connections with patients managing dementia, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric conditions
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans
Monitor patient safety and well-being while floating to med-surg or OB when needed
Support a calm, healing environment using de-escalation and therapeutic communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Utah or compact state
Current BLS certification
Prior psych experience strongly preferred
Willingness to float outside of behavioral health is a plus
Solid-color scrubs only, no prints

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and de-escalation skills
Comfort working with geriatric psychiatric patients
Ability to adapt quickly when floating to other units
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
