Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to other PCU and Med-Surg units as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
Perform hourly rounding and focus on delivering an outstanding patient experience
Support patients and families through every stage of the oncology journey with empathy and respect

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Experience with CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, and ICP monitoring
Comfortable using EPIC electronic medical record system
Skilled with Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
Ability to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment
