Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients waiting for placement from the Emergency Department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving to inpatient units
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele and overflow units across campuses as the team needs you

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong cardiac telemetry background with the ability to read and interpret strips
Comfortable titrating cardiac drips and adjusting medications within parameters
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Safe titration of drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Strong assessment skills for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Ability to adapt quickly between ED holds and inpatient overflow units
Clear communication and teamwork across multiple hospital campuses
