Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-04-2026

End Date: 09-03-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat a diverse patient population including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop personalized treatment plans that help patients regain strength and independence
Document progress and communicate effectively with the care team to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Comfortable working with general medical, deconditioned, TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute inpatient rehabilitation
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload of 12+ patients per day
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Flexibility to cover multiple hospital areas including ICU and ER
