Location: Panama City, Florida

Start Date: 11-21-2025

End Date: 05-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Verify and interpret medication orders to ensure patient safety and accuracy
Prepare and dispense sterile medications, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition using USP 797 & 800 guidelines
Develop and implement drug therapy management protocols including pharmacokinetics and antimicrobial stewardship
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff while verifying daily activities
Detect and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors to improve patient outcomes
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient care

Qualifications

Current pharmacist licensure in Florida required
PharmD or Bachelor's degree with recent acute care hospital experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
BLS and ACLS certifications helpful but not required
NICU/PICU/Peds experience is a plus

Education

PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy

Knowledge & Skills

Strong pharmaceutical calculations and PK dosing experience
TPN calculations expertise
Pyxis system troubleshooting skills
Ability to accurately verify pediatric oral and IV solutions
Proficiency with Meditech information systems
Excellent adaptability and customer focus
