Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients thoroughly under physician orders to identify functional needs and goals
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that maximize patients' independence
Deliver therapeutic procedures and train patients on assistive devices to improve daily living skills
Collaborate closely with the rehabilitation team and referring physicians to coordinate care
Document assessments, treatment plans and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
Adhere to the State Practice Act and facility policies to ensure safe, compliant care

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Current California Occupational Therapist License (must be active and in good standing)
Ability to evaluate and treat a diverse patient population under physician orders
Knowledge of therapeutic procedures and proper use of assistive devices
Practice and documentation in accordance with the State Practice Act

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient evaluation and treatment planning
Experienced with therapeutic procedures and assistive device prescription/training
Strong clinical judgment and goal-oriented therapy planning
Clear and timely documentation skills
Collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
