Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct pharmacy operations across assigned sites and ensure consistent, high-quality pharmacy services
• Assist the director in developing and implementing pharmacy policies, procedures, QA programs, and performance standards
• Lead budget planning, operational forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet site goals
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with medical staff and hospital departments
• Partner with information systems to optimize pharmacy information systems, charge capture, and inventory control
• Represent pharmacy on key committees (Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, Nursing/Pharmacy)
• Manage human resources tasks including hiring, staff development, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
• Monitor productivity, partner engagement, regulatory compliance, and patient outcome targets and adjust plans as needed
• Step in to perform pharmacy manager duties as required to maintain seamless operations

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience
• Active Illinois pharmacist license
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a pharmacy or health-system setting
• Demonstrated experience with pharmacy information systems, inventory control, and quality assurance
• Proven ability to lead committees, engage stakeholders, and drive performance improvement
• Strong communication skills and experience managing human resources responsibilities

Education

• PharmD degree (required)
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 in health-system pharmacy administration (preferred) or equivalent experience
