Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct pharmacy operations across assigned sites with a focus on quality, safety and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with system pharmacy leadership to analyze problems and develop solutions for operational efficiency
• Assist the director in developing and implementing policies, procedures and QA programs that improve patient outcomes
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff through hiring, development, performance evaluations and corrective actions
• Oversee budgeting and financial oversight to ensure pharmacy areas meet productivity and outcome targets
• Partner with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to maintain strong communication and patient-centered care
• Participate on Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Safety, Patient Medication Safety and Information Systems committees
• Ensure pharmacy information management and inventory control systems support safe, efficient operations

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent work experience
• Licensed Pharmacist in Wisconsin (active and in good standing)
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in pharmacy operations
• Proven experience with policy and procedure development, quality assurance and performance improvement
• Strong human resources experience including hiring, development and performance management

Education

• PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) from an accredited college or university
• ASHP PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration preferred or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication safety practices
• Familiarity with pharmacy information management systems and inventory control
• Experience with regulatory compliance and hospital pharmacy legal requirements
• Budgeting and financial oversight skills for departmental planning
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary collaboration and participate effectively on clinical committees
• Strong communication, problem solving and staff leadership skills
