Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography with precision and compassion to ensure excellent patient care
• Operate and maintain 3-D mammography equipment (Hologic 3D, Hologic Affirm BX) and ensure image quality
• Assist with and perform procedures including stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, and fine needle aspiration
• Document exams and procedures accurately in Epic for clear continuity of care
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and imaging interpretation
• Provide patient education and emotional support before, during, and after imaging and procedures

Qualifications

• Valid California radiologic technologist license (CA License) required
• ARRT certification and ARRT Advanced (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant mammography/breast imaging experience
• Familiarity with Epic charting system (required)
• Experience with stereotactic biopsies, needle localization, and fine needle aspiration preferred
• Comfort working with 3-D mammography systems such as Hologic 3D and Affirm BX

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms
• Proficient in stereotactic biopsy workflows and needle localization techniques
• Strong patient-centered communication and procedural patient care
• Knowledgeable about infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE usage
• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Competent charting in Epic and maintaining accurate medical records
