Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, ensuring safety, dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately following facility protocols
• Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to the care team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and timely
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as required
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Participate in orientation and competency validation for per-diem staff

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in Pennsylvania (required)
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care
• Comfort with per-diem scheduling and adaptability to varied assignments
• Successful completion of background check and required immunizations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team

Education

• Diploma or certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and medication administration
• Proficiency in basic patient assessments and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety procedures
• Good clinical judgment and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-focused bedside manner
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting (if applicable at site)
