Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Administer medications and titrate IV infusions safely and accurately
• Perform and document thorough nursing assessments and care plans
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans and discharge needs
• Respond rapidly to emergent situations and participate in code/rapid response teams
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact RN where applicable)
• ICU clinical experience (critical care background preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Comfort with ICU monitoring equipment, ventilator management and titratable drips
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role and handle high-acuity patients

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Ventilator management basics and respiratory collaboration
• Medication administration and IV infusion titration
• Crisis management and rapid response participation
• Patient/family education and compassionate communication
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced ICU environment
