Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the management of the cost accounting and decision support systems to drive service line profitability analysis
• Publish monthly service line and physician practice P&L statements and develop clear scorecards for leadership
• Develop financial feasibility templates and run ROI, NPV and IRR analyses to support capital decisions
• Oversee reporting to external rating agencies such as S&P, Fitch, DAC and EMMA with accuracy and timeliness
• Support STRATA implementation and maintenance, including the rolling forecast module and feasibility review
• Train and mentor managers and directors to interpret productivity and financial reporting tools
• Manage ad hoc reporting requests and generate documentation for audits, GME reporting and cost report filing
• Provide oversight for related software implementations such as ERP and leasing systems and ensure smooth integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (required)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support in healthcare
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or a closely similar decision support tool
• Proven experience producing P&Ls, service line profitability analysis and financial forecasting
• Strong leadership experience with mentoring or supervising analysts and managers
• Preferred: Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration and/or financial/healthcare certifications
• Familiarity with hospital contracting, reimbursement models, bundled payments and physician reimbursement is a plus

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting and cost reporting best practices
• Service line profitability and P&L preparation
• STRATA financial software (including rolling forecast module)
• Financial modeling: ROI, NPV, IRR and feasibility studies
• Financial forecasting and decision support methodologies
• Reporting to rating agencies and regulatory/compliance reporting
• Data analysis, ad hoc reporting and report automation
• Software implementation oversight (ERP, leasing software) and cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to leadership and mentoring staff
