Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention through careful observation and assistance
• Accurately document resident conditions, care given, and any changes
• Communicate effectively with the nursing team and resident families
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in resident areas

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (state-appropriate) required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Able to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and ADL support
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Strong observational skills for monitoring resident status
• Comfortable with documentation and charting best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively within a care team
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
