Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulation
• Perform routine vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help create a comfortable, safe environment and support residents’ mobility and nutrition needs
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team and families
• Support social and emotional well-being by engaging residents in conversation and activities

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required) or equivalent credential
• Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Comfort working with older adults and a patient, compassionate demeanor
• Basic understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with personal care and mobility assistance
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, observing changes in condition
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and resident privacy
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nurses
