Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
• Help with safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident chart
• Collaborate respectfully with nursing team and communicate with families as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program (required)
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability

Education

• GNA certification or completion of nursing assistant training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered approach
• Basic vitals measurement and observation skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with documentation practices and basic EHR/charting
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and team members
