Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and accurate triage to identify patient acuity and prioritize care
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and initiate immediate interventions
• Provide advanced life support and emergency stabilization (ACLS/BLS/PALS protocols)
• Manage trauma patients and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary ED team
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and document thoroughly
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and providers during high-stress situations
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in emergency drills and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of emergency/ER nursing experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications
• TNCC preferred
• Recent travel nurse experience highly preferred
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Up-to-date skills checklist relevant to emergency nursing (within 1 year)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and patient assessment skills in the emergency setting
• Trauma nursing experience and familiarity with ED protocols
• Proficiency with ACLS, BLS, PALS interventions and NIHSS stroke assessments
• Critical thinking and fast decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a high-acuity environment
• Comfortable with ED documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous patients and prioritize effectively
