Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Take and record vital signs accurately and alert the nursing team to changes
• Document resident care clearly and timely, keeping care plans current and useful
• Communicate warmly and professionally with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain state certification)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Compassionate demeanor and strong interpersonal skills—you treat residents like family
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for resident care safely
• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; successful completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs and basic nursing care procedures
• Basic vital signs assessment and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Comfortable using electronic or paper charting systems
