Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Accurately document care and observations, respecting privacy and HIPAA
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania required
High school diploma or equivalent
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and ADL assistance
Vital signs monitoring and documentation
Infection control and safe handling procedures
Effective verbal and written communication with residents and team
Teamwork, time management, and prioritization
Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems
