Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on direct patient care to support daily living activities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, mobility and feeding while promoting dignity
- Measure and record vital signs, intake/output and other clinical observations accurately
- Document care and changes in patient condition clearly and promptly
- Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
- Help maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Support residents emotionally, offering respect, patience and encouragement
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active CNA registry or ability to obtain required Pennsylvania certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Comfortable with hands-on patient assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Compassionate interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
