Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning
Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
Document care delivered in the electronic charting system promptly and clearly
Communicate effectively with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing (Pennsylvania preferred)
Active BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain quickly
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
Skilled at taking vitals, measuring intake/output and observing patient conditions
Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Good documentation habits and basic computer/charting familiarity
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a care team
