Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
- Observe and document residents’ conditions and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents
- Support mealtime assistance and feeding when required
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or eligible) — certification in Pennsylvania preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or willingness to learn
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
