Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) to preserve dignity and comfort
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of RN/LVN, following care plans and safety protocols
• Support resident mobility and transfers while using safe body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and help with basic housekeeping related to resident care
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and the care team
• Document care and observations accurately using basic computer skills as required by the facility

Qualifications

• Current CALIFORNIA CNA certificate required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work under RN/LVN supervision and follow direction
• Weekend availability required for this day-shift role
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation
• Professional interpersonal skills and respectful interaction with residents and staff
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

• CNA scope of practice and resident care routines
