Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes promptly
Support the nursing team by following care plans and documenting observations
Create a warm, respectful environment that preserves resident dignity
Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous care improvements

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active state certification or licensure in Connecticut
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Clear background check and current immunizations as required by facility
Comfortable with direct patient care and working as part of a collaborative team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills
Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe clinical changes
Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
Basic charting and documentation practices
Safe transfer and lifting techniques
