Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility while preserving dignity
Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts or electronic records
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff
Support a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident comfort and independence

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate resident care
Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization checks
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
Comfortable taking vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
Basic charting and record-keeping skills (paper or electronic)
Effective communication and teamwork with clinical staff
Understanding of infection control and safety best practices
Compassion, patience, and a resident-first mindset
