Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varies), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nurse
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Build trusting relationships with patients and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Active CNA authorization or eligibility to work in New Mexico
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Able to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside manners that put people at ease
Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers using safe techniques
Knowledge of basic clinical observations and when to escalate concerns
Good documentation habits and attention to detail
Team player with clear communication skills and a positive attitude
