Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (as scheduled), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of medical equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
Document care accurately and communicate clearly with colleagues and families
Support care plans and participate in team huddles to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to start
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to complete
Comfortable working overnight hours and providing hands-on resident care
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
Team communication and collaboration with nursing staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
