Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Support the nursing team by taking vital signs, recording observations, and reporting changes
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts
• Uphold infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid state authorizations as applicable for practice in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility vaccination/immunization requirements
• Comfortable working per diem schedule and adapting to varied patient needs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed approved CNA training program and current CNA credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, infection control, safe patient handling
• Clear communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary care team
• Reliable documentation and time management
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-centered care
