Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient observations accurately
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico certification preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and basic nursing support
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and safe hygiene practices
• Basic charting and timely communication with clinical staff
• Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Teamwork, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills
