Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Support residents with bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility needs
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
• Document care delivered accurately and communicate handoffs clearly
• Support infection control practices and maintain patient dignity at all times

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work overnight shifts and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and physical aspects of patient care
• Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State-approved CNA training program completion and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with nursing staff
• Detail-oriented documentation and good time management
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills when working with residents
• Ability to follow care plans and physician/nurse directives accurately
