Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Observe and document resident behavior and communicate concerns clearly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Maintain a clean, respectful, and dignified environment for each resident
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico preferred)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for per-diem shift assignments

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and infection control practices
• Skill in assisting with ADLs (bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding)
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
• Familiarity with resident safety, fall prevention, and proper transfer techniques
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a team
