Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living
Support residents with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Assist with feeding, hygiene, and toileting while preserving dignity
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
Help create a calm, respectful environment that promotes resident comfort

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (valid in New Mexico or eligible to obtain)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling physical aspects of care

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Practical knowledge of resident care and ADLs
Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Good charting and communication skills with nursing staff
Infection control practices and personal protective equipment use
