Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that promotes patient dignity
• Maintain accurate documentation in charts and electronic records
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
• Follow infection control protocols and facility procedures
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care basics and safe transfer techniques
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Comfortable with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
