Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming with dignity
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient status
• Support safe transfers, ambulation and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff and participate in care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New Mexico required
• Training in patient care fundamentals and hands-on experience as a CNA
• Comfortable working 12-hour per diem shifts when scheduled
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Ability to assist with transfers and use safe patient-handling techniques
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
